We Built HEARD's Website Entirely on GoHighLevel
HEARD (Helping Everyone Achieve Recovery) needed a site that could explain five distinct recovery, housing, and reentry programs clearly enough for someone in crisis to find help fast - while still driving donations for Still Standing RCO, its Recovery Community Organization serving Southwest Arkansas.

Platform
GoHighLevel
Scope
Web Design, Donation Flow, CRM
Primary Goal
Route visitors to help or to donate
What We Built
A single GoHighLevel system for the whole mission
The site had to hold two jobs at once: help someone find the right support program fast, and give donors a clear, visible way to give. Both run through one GoHighLevel build.
Program Areas Structured
Peer recovery coaching, housing, employment readiness, documentation help, and family reunification each given a dedicated section.
Lives Touched
Public mission stat from the live HEARD site, built into the page as a trust and impact signal.
Families Reunited
Public mission stat from the live HEARD site, surfaced alongside the family reunification program.
Platform for Everything
Website, donation flow, and contact intake all run on GoHighLevel instead of separate tools.
Note: "300+ Lives Touched" and "40+ Families Reunited" are public-facing impact stats published on the live heardinc.org site, not figures measured by Vareweb. The other figures describe the scope of the build.
The Problem
A nonprofit website that has to serve people in crisis and donors, on the same pages
Most nonprofit templates optimize for one audience. HEARD needed both: a person searching for housing help at 2am, and a donor deciding whether to give. Neither could feel like an afterthought.
CHALLENGE 01
Five programs, one visitor who might be in crisis
Peer recovery coaching, housing assistance, employment readiness, documentation help, and family reunification are five different doors into the same organization. Someone arriving in crisis needs to find the right one fast.
CHALLENGE 02
The site had to serve two very different visitors at once
A person looking for help and a potential donor are reading the same homepage with completely different intentions. Neither path could bury the other.
CHALLENGE 03
Nonprofit budgets do not have room for a fragmented tech stack
A separate website tool, a separate donation processor, and a separate CRM would have meant more monthly cost and more things that could break for a small nonprofit team.
CHALLENGE 04
The mission had to stay visible on every page, not just the homepage
HEARD exists to help people recovering from substance use, mental health challenges, and homelessness rebuild - "no matter where their journey begins." That has to come through on a housing page or a donation page just as much as the homepage.
What We Improved
From a mission statement to a structured, navigable system
The work focused on making the mission actionable: clear program paths for people who need help, and a donation path that never gets lost.
Program pages built for clarity under stress
Recovery coaching, housing, employment, documentation help, and family reunification each got a clear, dedicated section.
Donation path kept visible everywhere
"Donate Now" stays accessible from every program page instead of being confined to a single donation tab.
One platform for the whole site
Built entirely on GoHighLevel - website, contact intake, and outreach all run from a single system instead of stitched-together tools.
Mission stats given a real presence
The "300+ Lives Touched" and "40+ Families Reunited" numbers HEARD already tracks were built into the page structure as proof points, not buried in a paragraph.
The Solution
One GoHighLevel build, structured around the whole mission
Every program, every donation path, and every contact form runs through the same system - built to be manageable by a small nonprofit team.
GoHighLevel Website Build
Built the entire site natively on GoHighLevel for owner Shae, keeping the whole stack in one platform.
Five Program Pages
Structured a clear section for each Still Standing RCO program area.
Documentation & Reunification
Gave the more procedural support services - IDs, insurance, vital records, family reunification - their own clear space.
Donation-First Layout
Structured the page hierarchy so donors and people seeking help both find their path quickly.
Contact & Outreach System
Set up GoHighLevel to handle inbound contact from both people seeking services and prospective donors.
Still Standing Brand Identity
Carried Still Standing RCO's identity as "a division of HEARD" consistently across the site.

Build Benchmarks
What the build was structured to solve
A recovery nonprofit's website is a front door for people in crisis first, and a fundraising tool second. The structure had to respect that order without shortchanging either.
Challenge
Five distinct support programs risk blurring into one generic "services" page
Vareweb Approach
Dedicated section for each of the five Still Standing program areas
Challenge
Visitors in crisis and prospective donors need different, non-competing paths
Vareweb Approach
Donation CTAs kept visible without burying the "get help" program pages
Challenge
Separate website, CRM, and donation tools add cost and failure points for a small team
Vareweb Approach
Entire site and contact system built natively on GoHighLevel
Challenge
Impact numbers easy to bury in body copy
Vareweb Approach
"300+ Lives Touched" and "40+ Families Reunited" built in as structural proof points
Process
How we built the project
Mission and program discovery first, then site architecture built around two audiences, then the GoHighLevel build, then a full QA pass before handoff to Shae.
01 / DISCOVERY
Mission & Program Discovery
Mapped all five Still Standing program areas and the organization's Southwest Arkansas service area before any design work began.
02 / ARCHITECTURE
GHL Site Architecture
Structured the site to balance "get help" and "give help" paths, so both a visitor in crisis and a donor land on the right page.
03 / BUILD
GoHighLevel Build & Donation Integration
Built the site natively in GoHighLevel with a dedicated donation flow alongside every program page.
04 / LAUNCH
QA & Launch
Tested every program page, donation path, and contact flow before handing the live site to Shae and the HEARD team.
A recovery nonprofit's website has one job that matters more than any other: make sure someone in crisis can find the right door in seconds. Everything else, including the donation flow, gets built around that.
Vareweb Project NotePrograms, one clear structure
Recovery coaching, housing, employment, documentation help, and family reunification each given their own dedicated section.
501(c)(3) nonprofit
Still Standing RCO operates as the core program of HEARD Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) serving Southwest Arkansas.
Texarkana, Arkansas
Based at 1501 Grand Ave., serving individuals and families across Southwest Arkansas.
Built for a small team
A single-platform GoHighLevel setup means Shae and the HEARD team run the site, donations, and outreach without juggling separate tools.
