Google’s Gradient ‘G’ Logo Is Rolling Out Everywhere
Google introduces a refreshed gradient “G” logo, updating its identity across products and services.
Google is rolling out a redesigned version of its company logo, introducing a new four-color gradient “G” icon across its products and platforms. The new logo was initially introduced on the Google search mobile application earlier this year but now represents the entire company as it refreshes its identity ten years after the original four-color G icon was introduced.
The gradient design made its debut on the Gemini mobile app in June and recently appeared on Google Home, ahead of the company’s upcoming Gemini for Home updates scheduled for Wednesday, October 1. It is the first significant change of Google logo in 10 years that gave the company a more updated appearance that blends its classic red, yellow, green, and blue colors into a brighter gradient style.
The previous version of the “G,” introduced in 2015, featured distinct blocks of Google’s four colors. In contrast, the new design unifies those shades with a gradient effect, reflecting a refreshed identity that aligns with Google’s evolving direction.
Google confirmed the rollout will continue across more products, services, and platforms in the coming months. Users can expect the gradient “G” to appear on widely used apps including Gmail, Drive, Meet, and Calendar as the update expands.
With this change, Google signals both continuity with its history and a refreshed vision for the future, making the gradient “G” its new symbol across the company’s global ecosystem.
